Lauren Wootton, BHSc., MScPT
Lauren Wootton is the founder of The Vertigo Therapist. She obtained her Masters in Physical Therapy from McMaster University in 2012. Lauren opened her virtual clinic doors during the Covid pandemic to ensure that people across Ontario were able to access care to vestibular physiotherapy despite closed clinics, and a lack of vestibular trained therapists in more rural areas. She continues to treat virtually and in-person at her Burlington office.
Following her masters degree, Lauren has completed additional training in the areas of manual therapy, acupuncture/dry needling, and vestibular rehabilitation. Her vestibular rehabilitation certificates include 'Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation' and a Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation through Texas State University.
Lauren focuses solely on vestibular conditions, allowing her to focus her learning, treatment strategies and skills in one area.
Lauren has found that the most effective way to help someone with vertigo is to tailor treatment not only to the specific condition but to the individual person in order to meet their goals (big and small) at a pace that is right for them.
